Ending the Tobacco Problem

Left wing, freedom hating ideologues are not satisfied with a drop in smoking to 21% in 2005.

These big government left wingers want the FDA to regulate tobacco, reductions in nicotine in cigarettes, limits on advertising, and large pictures of the effects of tobacco.

This is a better approach.

Drug Use and Dependence in the U.S.

The year prevalence of drug use was 2%, with a lifetime prevalence of 10%. Drug abuse rates were 1.4% and 7% respectively. Males, young people, and unmarried people had higher levels of abuse. Dependence caused more impairment than abuse. All had high correlations with alcohol abuse, nicotine dependence, anxiety disorders, depression, and personality disorder.

In the case of alcohol abuse and dependence, the respective rates were 18% and 13%. Only 24% ever received treatment.
